SLEEP DISORDERS

Certain sleep disorders can be managed dentally. This includes sleep apnea and night time grinding/clenching.

Mandibular Advancement Splints (MAS): This splint is a small, discrete device that is effective in the management of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). It assists breathing by keeping the lower jaw and tongue forward during sleep, which prevents the airway space in the throat from closing. The MAS has substantially reduced snoring and OSA for many people and is a great alternative to CPAP machines.

Occlusal Splint (Night guard): An Occlusal Splint is a great option for managing Bruxism symptoms such as morning headaches, facial pain, teeth attrition and abfraction. By utilising a night guard, we can change clenching patterns and reduce clenching and grinding.

We provide several Night Guard options for you to choose from. We take into account the fit, comfort, protection level, your budget and long term sustainability to identify which option best suits your needs.
